MOPAR event update – Pre stage meetup/info

Rob attended the GM event today and said the lot was almost filled by 12 noon.  He also said there where about 160 cars in total and towards the end, they where parking cars in a less then desirable lot/location.

This is a paid event $10 and is from 1PM – 5PM Saturday April 6th.

He is recommending everyone meet at 10:30 (yes it’s early but you don’t want to park under the roller coasters) on the side of Old Town, just as you turn onto Holiday Trail  (see map below).  Everyone will then head over to the event by 10:45 SHARP.

We know some will not want to meet this early and for those we will try and hold spots, however it’s better to have more cars there and hold fewer spots then have fewer cars trying to hold many spots.  Rob also said that while it was ok with Tara, Oldtown security did come around asking people for their spots as the lot was filling up (before the event started).

I’m coming directly from the airport (my flight lands around 10:45 and I will have no bags so I should be there just after 11am as long as there are no weather related or plane issues.

Rob will be coordinating with everyone at the pre stage area.  He would like to get a good head count on those attending.  If you like, please contact me via email or the contact me button on top in regards to getting on the text message list.  Rob will be communicating the day of via text message.   Just so some of the newer members Rob has the Grey R/T with Black Stripes/Shaker hood.

So far I know the following are attending:

  • Rob
  • Rick
  • Dave
  • Tali
  • Maureen
  • Pat
  • Jim(me)
  • Milton
  • Mwlisa
  • Ronnie

  1. Cars parked and cleaned and tucked into it’s car cover. Why do people look at you strange in the airport parking garage when you’re cleaning your car?

    Looking forward to the weekend.

  2. Maybe they think it’s a new concierge service the airport offers – you’ll know if people start parking near you, handing you the keys to their car, telling you to “give it two coats of wax and don’t forget to buff the wheels”… and then walk towards the elevator.

    See you on Saturday.

  3. Wish I could be there but daughter has a tourneyment in Clermont. Catch you fellas hopefully at the next meet up!

  4. No worries John, we’ll have plenty of events this Spring/Summer. Tell your daughter good luck with the tournament from the guys and gals of CFCO

  5. lol…I am going to make mine as clean as I can considering I will be getting up around 530 or 6 to work on it. so no promises
