Saturday Oct 5th – Orlando Speedway street cars only drag racing

I know Rick and Teresa have been asking who’s up for some Saturday night drag racing at Orlando Speedway.

Gates open at 8PM, we should meet at around 7pm-7:30 down the street at the Walgreens (corner of East Colonial and 419)  If we get there early, we can get a good amount of runs in before the crowds start to show up.  The cost to race or watch is $10.

Make sure you wear pants and closed toed shoes to be able to race.  (Jim’s looking at Rob)

Wanted to repost this as we get closer to this weekends events.  I’m almost 90% sure I’ll make it, just depends if I’m over this cold and awake (arriving at 5am on Friday via a redeye from the West coast)

  1. No but that does not mean you can enjoy the track. For $10 bucks it well worth it.

Not you have to wear full pants and closed towed shoes.

  2. I will try to make this. Its been a long time and I have never dragged. Legally anyway!!!! Who’s going??

  3. Very cool, we’ll have a bunch of Challengers again. tony, just so you know we try and go between 8-9 because after 9 it gets super busy.

We can get about 5-7 runs in between 8-9 after 9 it’s like once an hour.

  4. Sounds good.So who’s the competition??You?I may have to take her out to a secluded area in Titusville and do some practice runs!!! By the way,I ran into the infamous Challenger with the obnoxious exhaust. What an A-HOLE!!! I caught up to him in Oviedo and tried to get him to come tomorrow night, but all he would do is rev that engine like a Dumb ass.Ha Ha !!!!What a Dumb ASS!!!

  5. LOL not me, I can’t seem the grasp the concept of shifting from 2nd to 3rd always want to go to 5th LOL.

Rick and Teresa seem to be the ones to look out for

  6. My best was a whopping 14.4 – never went down the 1/4 without missing a gear or getting massive wheel hop. Rick did a 13.8 I believe

It was our first time last month.
